From the beginning of the 2016/17 academic year, foreign-accredited universities operating in the Czech Republic will be formally recognized by the Czech Ministry of Education.

The changes have come about thanks to a 2016 amendment to the existing 鶹 law. The changes will be automatic for EU-based institutions, while those outside the EU will have to apply for permission.

The new law has a number of important consequences for Prague College. Most importantly,  from September, our students on Teesside 鶹 programmes will enjoy the many benefits of Czech student status.

Studying at Prague College now includes:

  • Accreditation and delivery under a collaborative agreement between Prague College and the UK’s Teesside 鶹

  • Accreditation and quality assurance by the same institutions and to the same standards as in the United Kingdom

  • Teesside 鶹 degrees awarded: fully recognized British degrees

  • Prague College recognized as offering foreign-accredited university programmes under the 2016 Czech law governing universities

  • EU students may be eligible for benefits from their home country while studying at Prague College, depending on their home country rules

  • All instruction in English
